Network Engineer, Partner Experience

The Network Engineer, Partner Experience will provide IT technical support with a variety of IT components, will interact with the company’s customers by addressing inquiries and resolving issues of technical matters. This position will consist of providing excellent phone-based customer service assisting with issues on technical service, troubleshooting, account platforms, and installations

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Outage network down support and troubleshooting. 
  • Configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN controllers, DNS and DHCP. 
  • Network management: Responsible for monitoring the systems. 
  • Customer technical support escalations. 
  • Takes escalated inbound support calls and emails from customers regarding issues with their internet services and accounts. 
  • Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems, outages. 
  • Collaborates with network architects on network optimization. 
  • Participate in the Engineering On-Call rotation. 
  • Voice communications support (Tier 1, Tier 2, and Engineering Support). 
  • Network documentation. 
  • Site Surveys / Site Repair Visits (travel may be required). Working with various low volt systems. 
  • Participation in ongoing training and upskilling for T2 and T1 team members 
  • Participation in ongoing best practice documentation 
  • Other tasks as assigned by Support Director 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.  Ability to work well with all team members in the organization, customers and vendors.  
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability are critical in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and VLANS.
  • Basic understanding of low volt systems. 
  • Eager to learn and support new technologies. 
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening. 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or technical networking certification preferred. 
  • Minimum 3 years networking experience.  

Physical Requirements:

  • Computer work 
  • Communications rack – equipment installation 
  • Ability to conduct site visits in the field. 
  • Ability to conduct in person field support when needed. 
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
